Fondation President Alleges Missing Brigitte Bardot Vehicle Amid Estate Dispute
Fondation President Alleges Missing Brigitte Bardot Vehicle Amid Estate Dispute
Tensions between the widow of Brigitte Bardot and her foundation have escalated following allegations that a valuable vehicle belonging to the actress has gone missing. Max Guazzini, president of the Fondation Brigitte Bardot, disclosed during a television interview that the Mini Moke is no longer at the Saint-Tropez estate, La Madrague, sparking further conflict with Bernard d'Ormale.
Tensions between the widow of French actress Brigitte Bardot and the foundation bearing her name have intensified following allegations that a valuable vehicle belonging to the late icon has gone missing from her former residence.
Max Guazzini, president of the Fondation Brigitte Bardot, disclosed during an appearance on France 5’s "C à vous" program on Tuesday, November 3, that the Mini Moke, a vehicle Bardot was known to drive in Saint-Tropez, is no longer at La Madrague. The property remains a focal point of contention between Guazzini and Bernard d'Ormale, Bardot’s husband of 35 years.
"There was Brigitte Bardot's Mini Moke, which is worth a fortune, it has disappeared," Guazzini stated, directly referencing the situation involving d'Ormale. He added that the widower had "removed many things from La Madrague." When pressed by a host on whether this constituted theft, Guazzini clarified his position: "I did not say I was accusing him of theft, but it has disappeared. It is still a problem."
Guazzini asserted that assets remaining at the property now belong to the foundation, rendering the vehicle's absence particularly significant. The revelation comes as d'Ormale faces broader disputes over his role in the association; he was removed from the presidency in favor of Guazzini and forced to vacate the villa where he lived with Bardot.
The dispute over estate assets coincides with the recent public release of a handwritten letter dated November 17, 2022, attributed to Bardot. Published by Le Figaro on November 2, the document expresses deep distress regarding her marriage. "You have destroyed me patiently day after day for thirty years," she wrote. "I need so much support, tenderness, and presence that you are incapable of giving me. Today I am at the end of my distress."
The letter’s authenticity and context have been contested by Annie-Caroline Vieugué, d'Ormale’s attorney. Speaking to La Provence, Vieugué stated that her client was "devastated" and had never seen the correspondence before its publication.
Guazzini’s comments regarding the Mini Moke have drawn immediate scrutiny from media commentators, highlighting the ongoing friction between the foundation and d'Ormale over the management of Bardot’s legacy and personal effects.
