French duo Justice to score 'GTA VI': game maker
French electro duo Justice were chosen to do the original score for the new instalment of the "Grand Theft Auto" video game which will be released next month, maker Rockstar Games announced Thursday.
Rockstar posted a new trailer online for "GTA VI" featuring a song from "original score composers Justice", who are best known for their work during the late "French Touch" electro wave of the early 2000s.
As score composers, they are responsible for the in-game sound and musical themes.
The Parisians also composed a track for the game, "Flower in a Hurricane", featuring a superstar collaborator line-up of Australian singer Tame Impala, American R&B performer SZA, and Australian rock band King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Rockstar announced.
It will join the official "GTA VI" soundtrack that will include a total of 34 tracks, six of which were unveiled last month including songs by American rapper Travis Scott and Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards.
The willingness of musical A-listers to work on GTA underlines the commercial and promotional power of one of the best-selling video game franchises in history.
The sixth instalment in the flagship series has been awaited by players around the world for more than 13 years, since the release of "GTA V".
